Although his marriage contract at Vevey identifies him as a citizen of Moudon, we find no definite record of him at Moudon except in the context of the settlement of his father-in-law's estate. It is possible that he is a brother of the second wife of the minister Pierre Dutoit, who married Anne Frossard. No record of that marriage has yet surfaced. At various times at least as late as the first decade of the 17th Century, he is identified as a resident of Vevey, by 1617 bourgeois de Vevey.
He might be the Jaques Frossard of Moudon who married Pernette Curlat, widow of Pierre Richard of Moudon. Following the death of Jaques Frossard, Pernette married a third time at Thierrens to Jean DeLozea, minister at Meyriez, 26 sep 1641.

Part of the settlement involves their accounts and rights to an inheritance from their uncle Jaques Doges of Oron. The notary Estienne Michod is mentioned as another brother-in-law of the Frossards (in other documents, he is the husband of Antheyne, another daughter of Jean Frossard and his wife Isabel). So far, no further information has surfaced regarding the nature of the relationship to Jaques Doges.
