Also cited as minister at Vevey, 1624. Registers at Bex have been examined, did not seem to contain any significant details about Abraham or his wife. He was deacon at La Tour-de-Peilz 1589-1594 (?), also deacon at Vevey in 1590. He is cited as minister at La Tour-de-Peilz in 1592, then at Bex 1594-1599. He was minister at Blonay 10 jun 1599 and served there 14 years and 5 months (thus until November 1613), then minister at Vevey, where he died in 1644, according to the parish registers at Blonay. His retirement due to his advanced age was discussed 06 mar 1641 (ACV Ba 14/2 p.253).

He may be the minister Abraham Fross.ard who was at Combremont in 1734 and then "ministre de camp" for the Régiment May by 1737. He was still "impositionnaire" as late as 1760, but he had apparently served at Gimel 1744-1746 and at L'Isle 1746-1752, and perhaps at Lussy in the 1760's. He was buried at Morges 27 oct 1766. The isolated reference to him as "impositionnaire" in the "fichiers des pasteurs" at the ACV (Bdd 86a p. 7, 08 apr 1760) seems odd and raises the possibility that there were two men of the same name, both from the Frossard de Saugy family, at the same time.

Title page from St. Augustine's De Civitate Dei, edition of 1467,
in the library of the University of Bern (ZB Inc II 12). In the inscription,
the future minister Jaques Tacheron calls the minister Pierre Dutoit his
step-father (Latin vitricus). The significance of the arms, in the lower left
corner, identical to the arms of the Gachet family of Payerne and the
branch of Gatschet of Bern, is unknown.
That the same Anne Frossard who was the wife of Clement Tacheron and mother of the minister Jaques Tacheron was also the second wife of the minister Pierre Dutoit is proved by an inscription on a very beautiful copy of St. Augustine's De Civitate Dei, printed in 1467, in the library of the University of Bern (ZB Inc II 12): "Hunc librum mihi Jacobo Tacherono Meldunensi Diacono dono dedit Petrus de Tecto Meldunensis Pastor et Vitricus meus anno 1629". That is, "this book was given to me Jaques Tacheron of Moudon, deacon, by Pierre Dutoit of Moudon, minister and my step-father, in 1629". How this valuable book came into the possession of Pierre Dutoit is unknown, and we have no additional information about its subsequent history. We are indebted to Martin Davies for bringing this inscription to our attention.

Marriage contract of 25 nov 1576 (her second marriage, recorded by Jaques Richard, notary at Moudon, DL 79/1 fol 89v) says she is the daughter of the late Jean Frossard and his widow Isabel, and that she has a brother Michel Frossard. The record of her first marriage in the church registers of Moudon gives the same parentage, daughter of the late Jean Frossard.

A "reconnaissance" dated 28 jan 1592 (ACV Fn 343 fol. 309v) concerns Egrège Michel Frossard, secrétaire et bourgeois de Moudon, acting for his sister-in-law Annaz Gervais, daughter of Gervais Gervais and, from the preceding reconnaissance on fol. 307, also the (half-)sister of Jehan Dutey. From this, we conclude that Antoine Frossard was a brother of Michel Frossard.
