The marriage record at Colmar was transcribed by FamilySearch.org as Samuel Laus and Anna Christina Beyer, referencing microfilm #0729941. The children were transcribed under various spellings, including Lans, Lang, and Lanss.
The marriage record says Samuel was from Markirch (the German name for Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines), a soldier at Colmar, son of Isaac, and the bride was the daughter of Andreas Bey or Beyer (the script is not clear, but other records appear to favor Bey).

Savage renders name as Sarah, daughter of William Larned. Ames Otis, however, notes that surname is difficult to read, could be Linnell etc., and further states that first name of father is Robert. Basis for these assertions is not known. Sarah and her first husband Thomas Ewer, tailor, embarked on the ship James 19 jun 1635 from London, according to customs house records cited by Ames Otis and others.
