According to correspondent, Wealthean Pemberton who m. Reuben Smith was first cousin of Fountain Pemberton, whose son Hiram P. Pemberton was one of the wagon train migrants from Adams Co., OH to McLean Co., IL. This is the basis for attribution of surname.
