1910 census has brother-in-law Richard H. McCoy age 24 born in Ohio. However, her surname was finally established from obituaries. Hers was found in a collection of undated newspaper clippings at the public library in Keosauqua, Iowa:
OBITUARY
LAURA BELLE HULL
Laura Belle Hull, daughter of Charles W. and Latisha A. Wollam, was born August 6, 1865, at Clarkson, O., and passed away, at her home in Cantril, Iowa, June 14, 1934, at 8:40 p.m., aged 68 years, 10 months and 8 days. At the age of 12 years she joined the Presbyterian church, at Clarkson, Ohio. She was a true Christian, devoting her life to her family and friends. When a young woman, she and her brother, E. H. Wollam came to near Mt. Sterling, Iowa, to make their home with relatives, their father having died when she was 11 years old.
She was united in marriage to John H. Hull, February 1, 1891, at Milton, Iowa. To this union was born three sons, Jesse Glen, who died in infancy, Charles Leo and William Earl, one daughter, Nannie, and they reared a foster daughter, Addie Wollam. She underwent an operation at the St. Joseph hospital in Ottumwa, May 4, and was brought to her home in Cantril on May 13 All that medical aid and a devoted family could do was done but to no avail.
Her husband preceded her in death March 3, 1932.
She leaves to mourn her departure, two sons, Charles Leo and William Earl, one daughter, Mrs. Nannie Gove, one foster daughter, Mrs. Addie Barker, eight grandchildren, Charles Earl and Laura May Hull, Jesse and Dorothy Hull, Kathryn and Helen Gove, and Hollis and Harold Barker; one brother, E. H. Wollam, Sheridan Lake, Colo; three half brothers, Garfield and George McCoy, Negley, O.; Richard H. McCoy, Cantril, Iowa; two half-sisters, Mrs. Lula Hickman, Mingo Junction, Ohio, and Mrs. Janie Dyke, Columbiana, Ohio, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
