Her complaint of 06 mar 1563 (Jean Jaquier, notary at Moudon) against the heirs of her uncle Pierre Veyre says that she was the first of her sisters to be married, and that the marriage settlement arranged by her uncles Pierre and Maurice was far too small, considering the extent of her father's estate. By 1563, her uncles had also died. Implied in this is that she was fairly young when her father died.

Testament recorded by B. Girardet, notary, 26 jan 1658, naming his wife Catherine Genier, and children Jean, Jaques, Pernon (wife of Abraham Dutoit), and Susanne (wife of Daniel Dutoit of Chesalles). He also had a nephew Nicod Veyre. Catherine Genier is also documented elsewhere as the mother of most of the children of Michel. He seems also to be identified as the "beaupère" of a Pierre Dutoit son of the late Daniel in 1633 (Jean Jayet, notary at Moudon). This is explained by the discovery that Catherine Genier had previously married Jean Chevally (died before 1624). Jeanne Chevalley, wife of Pierre Dutoit, must have been Catherine's daughter.
With brothers Gabriel and Thomas, he made a "reconnaissance" for property at Chavannes 29 may 1611 (ACV Fn 347, fol. 454). The brothers are identified as sons of Jean son of Rollet Veyre or Veyrez. Their father had leased the property in 1592, jointly with Egrège Jaques Veyre, notary.

In spite of apparently definitive statements that Nicod "l'ancien" was the father of Roulx Veyre of Chavannes, there is also a testament of Roulx 12 jun 1524 (Rodolphe Demont, notary at Moudon) that identifies Roulx/Rodolphus as the son of the late Pierre de Rivo alias Verit of Chavannes. This Rodolphus has wife Katherine and brothers Pierre and Maurice, but no children are named in the testament. Was he the same man, or different? This turns out to be the next generation.
The genealogy given here still contains errors, due to the occurrence of the same names in successive generations. So far, the evidence from the terriers and the notaries has not provided a solution. However, there seems to have been only one Perronette Veyre, and her story appears to anchor some of the documents. Specifically, Louis Dutoit, before his marriage to Antheine Perrod, is among the co-heirs of the Pierre Veyre who had no children and whose wife was Marguerite. The partage of 1563 catalogued as ACV Fn 408 states that Pierre was an uncle of Louis, and this agrees with other evidence that Louis was the son of Jean Dutoit and Pernette Veyre. The complaint in by Jeannette, daughter of the late Rod Veyre, that the same Pierre Veyre and his brother Maurice (her uncles, her father having already died) had arranged her marriage to Antoine Chenaulx to her disadvantage involves the same Louis Dutoit and the other heirs of Pierre Veyre, so that we can be sure the Veyre family consisted of Pernette, Pierre, Maurice, and Rod, and that Rod had died before any of the others, but at a time when Jeannette was of marriageable age.
