He may have been the Claude Margueron of Lucens whose property was valued at 2755 florins in 1550 (ACV Bp 14/1 fol. 91). The only other Margueron who was assessed in the entire bailliage of Moudon that year was Louis, also of Lucens.

There are several mentions of Claudius Margueron faber de Lucens in the records of the notaries, such as Michel Frossard (FHL microfilm ##0922331-0922332), 15 mar 1511, a sale of property to him, 14 jan 1515, a sale to him by Matheus son of the late Johannes de Puteo (=du Puys) of Lucens.

Document of Pierre Dutoit, notary at Vevey, dated 03 feb 1711, says that Esther Margueron is "at present" the wife of Claude Monpiton, which seems to imply that she had previously been married to someone else. The documents of this notary show that Esther and her sister Susanne Marie had nephews Abraham and Philippe Margueron who were paying a mortgage on property at Prevondens, thus confirming that the documents concern the family of Jaques Margueron of Lucens, who got the property at Prevondens through his wife, Esther Buttin.

The marriage record at Vevey calls her Esther Anthoine Margueron and names her father.
