This may be the same Jeanne Barnaud cited as widow of the late Benjamin Baud in 1720, where we find Moyse Baud, tanneur, and Jeanne Barnaud widow of the late Benjamin Baud his step-mother. Testament recorded 22 feb 1724 by Sebastien Buttex, notary at Lausanne, gives origin as Baumon en Dauphiné and names several relatives.

Another reference gives her surname as Burnand, but records at Dénezy, where Jeanne Marguerite was the minister's wife in 1800, clearly show Barnaud, and indicate her brother was Samuel Louis Barnaud, minister at Bière at that time. When she died, her husband was minister at Combremont. The death record says that she left two children, eldest under the age of 9 years.

A Jean Barnaud or Bernaud age 45 in 1694 also in Lausanne, with wife and 4 ch., also from La Mure in Dauphiné. Livre d'Or des Familles Vaudoises notes that a Barnaud family was granted bourgeois status in Lausanne in 1701, this family from La Mure in Dauphiné. Relationships with Charles Bernard help identify Jeanne Barnaud as the sister of Judith and the wife of the late Pierre DesMoulins of Dauphiné (23 oct 1727, Isaac Guibaud le jeune, notary).
