Apparently, Moyse Baud was the son of Benjamin Baud, who later married Jeanne Barnaud widow of Pierre DesMoulins, whose daughter Moyse Baud married. This depends in part on the interpretation of the word "belle-mere", which may mean either step-mother or mother-in-law. If we have interpreted the documents correctly, Jeanne Barnaud was both step-mother and mother-in-law of Moyse Baud.

Daughter of Servien (?) Baudin -- documents of Claude Mayor notary, this wife belonging to Jaques Mayor dit Mathey. However, it appears a second wife Claudaz Cristin de Bogneux (?) m. about 1586. Yet another possibility is a document of Claude Vuargne, notary at Morges, recording a settlement in 1630 regarding George son of the late Estienne Mayor, seeming to identify a brother of Estienne named Anthoine, and their mother Françoise de Villette. Possibly Françoise was the first wife and the actual mother.
