Which Félix Mayor married Marie Valier? We may not have got it right! A document recorded 27 jul 1691by Gaspard Mayor, notary (ACV DB 27), claims that Gaspard is an "uncle" of Louise and Susanne Mayor, children of the late Félix Mayor. However, this may simply be a case of the use of "oncle" in the sense of "oncle à la mode de Bretagne", which usually means first cousin once removed. Gaspard's father was the uncle of the father of Louise and Susanne.

Also, a daughter Jeanne Marie Mayor is named who married Jean François Baudin, who died before 1701. This appears to be an error, as all of these are in fact descended from Gédéon, not Gabriel Mayor, unless perhaps Gabriel's wife is connected to Gédéon's family.

Records of Daniel Marmet, notary, show that Jeanne Susanne Mayor, daughter of the late Gaspard Mayor and his widow Jeanne Imberte Favre, engaged in many transactions relating to Gaspard's estate. There is also a marriage contract in which Jeanne Susanne is advised by her mother and by her uncle, Pierre Mayor, operateur of Ballens, and marries Jean François Dumond of Grancy. This proves that Gaspard was the brother of Pierre, thus proving the parentage of the latter.

The third b. 1642 was the son of David Mayor and Jeanne DeSaussure, but he was not the minister as is usually supposed. The fourth was born about 1640, but no baptism has been located. He was the minister, as revealed by records of notaries Bernard Grosjean (15:356, 1663, Geneva) and Henri Portaz (25 nov 1668, Lausanne).
