There is an apparent duplicate entry for the baptism on 12 nov 1672, with the same name, parents, and sponsors. The register bears a note here, "v. sup. 1669", suggesting that a later clerk thought the entry questionable. She came before the consistory of St. Livres 16 jun 1693 because she had called her mother-in-law a sorceress. She had also attacked Anne Grivel, wife of her brother Jean Estienne Tripod.
Her testament is dated 17 mar 1733 (ACV Bib 142, p. 32) but then revised 09 jun of the same year (p. 49).

Mentioned alive 1568, 1569, and dead by 1573.
He seems to be the father of Pernette Tripod, who married David Favre, and also of Egrège Gabriel Tripod whose widow Claude married (as his second wife) Egrège Estienne Favre, father of David. These relationships, while very plausible, are inferred from rather vague statements in several of the terriers. More evidence is needed. One direct statement is found in the terrier Fh 162, for property subject to the former priory of Etoy (fols. 19 and 24), where we find that the Egrège Gabriel Tripod whose widow married Estienne Favre left a son Pierre Tripod (called "discret" there, but in the later terrier Fh 171, he has become a minister), whose first cousins were Jean and Jaques Tripod, sons of the late Egrège Pierre Tripod. Thus, if Egrège Nicolas was the father of this Egrège Gabriel, he was also the father of one of men called Egrège Pierre Tripod.

Her name is given in the 1616 terrier of St. Livres (ACV Fh 223), where she is listed as the widow of David Favre. Her parentage is not stated directly, and might be incorrect. However, one of the pieces of property she held in 1616 was previously held by "Pernette" (this is probably incorrect, she seems to be Claude elsewhere), widow of Eg. Gabriel Tripod, and another was previously held by Pernette, widow of Eg. Nicolas Tripod, parents of Eg. Grabriel.

The Pierre Tripod who was the father of Marie, wife of Elie Rubattel, was a notary and curial of Aubonne, dead by 1604. We first thought this was the man referred to as Perrotin Tripod, and thus the father of several of the Tripods who appear in the church records of Morges. The minister Pierre Tripod was his nephew. The baptism of Bernardine, daughter of Egrège Pierre Tripeau recorded 30 aug 1572 at Lausanne might be another of his children.
A document recorded 11 may 1584 by Michel Gonvers, notary at Lussy (ACV DK 33/1), reveals that the widow of Perrotin Tripod of St. Livres was Bartholomée, daughter of Antoine Clopt. It is very tempting to believe that Perrotin left a son Bartholomé, named for Perrotin's wife.
We now think the Pierre who was Curial d'Aubonne was not Perrotin. The Tripod family of St. Livres produced a great number of notaries, and many of them were named Pierre.
The solution to the identity of the present Pierre, and of the minister Pierre Tripod, is obtained by comparing reconnaissances in two terriers, ACV Fh 162 and 171. Discret Pierre Tripod son of Gabriel in Fh 162 (1582) becomes Spectable Pierre Tripod in Fh 171 (1606).

Deacon at La Tour-de-Peilz 1597-1599, minister at Lausanne (4th post) 1599-1600, at Villeneuve 1600-1612, and at Montreux 1612-1613. He is mentioned as a minister in the terrier ACV Fh 171, referring back to a previous terrier Fh 162, where he is called Discret Pierre Tripod (still a minor) and where his parentage can be deduced.
He is identified as a first cousin of Marie Tripod, daughter of the late Egrège Pierre Tripod, Curial of Aubonne, and wife of Elie Rubattel notary of Palézieux in a transaction recorded 23 jan 1604 by François Pache, notary at Oron. The transaction was also signed by Egrège Jaques Gerbex of Cully, who appears to have married the widow of the late Egrège Pierre Tripod.
While his arrival does not seem to be announced in the registers of the parish of Montreux, there is a change of handwriting in October, 1612. His widow Claude Montet appears 07 feb 1613 (at the first baptism recorded by the new minister, Jean Le Merle) as a sponsor at the baptism of Jeanne Françoise daughter of the late Discret Claude Mayor, curial. Claude Montet appears again in this capacity 06 mar 1614.

Mention of land of "heirs of Pierre Tripod" at St. Livres, 08 feb 1569, Claude Mayor, notary, and again 1573. This is evidently not the same Pierre Tripod curial d'Aubonne active 1571, mentioned in 1573 in a document of Urbain Campod, notary near Lavigny. So far, the earliest mention of this family is in 1439, a Pierre Tripod at St. Livres.

Bought land from Pierre Vionnet the elder 29 feb 1592, Claude Mayor notary. It is unlikely this is the Pierre Tripod who served as deacon at Tour-de-Peilz 1597-99, 4th pastor at Lausanne 1599-1600, and pastor at Villeneuve 1600-1612 and Montreux 1612-1613. This is certainly not the late Pierre or Perrod Tripod mentioned in records of Morges as late as 1591. It is possible that notarial records will eventually reveal the identify of the pastor.
