Confusion over maiden name: Brown County Illinois Cemeteries lists "Jane A. McCoy, wife of Roger O'Hara", but I can't place her with any local McCoy families. 1900 census shows "father-in-law" Gilbert Kennedy living with the family. Also, 1900 census shows she had 6 children, of which 2 were still living, and she had been married for 38 years. Thus, they were married in 1862. If she is actually daughter of Gilbert Kennedy, I may be able to locate Jane as his daughter in 1850 or 1860 census.

[3795] Parents b. PA according to 1900 census. 1900 census also has Gilbert Kennedy b. 1816, father-in-law of Roger O'Hara. Therefore, it appears Roger actually m. Jane A. Kennedy, not Jane A. McCoy! (Kennedy: 1818-1900?)

[3796] Possible explanation for confusion over name: She remarried after death of Roger O'Hara in 1913?

[14837] 1900 census indicates married 38 years.
