Possibly the son of a George Bew, apothecary, of Gracechurch Street, London, mentioned in records dating from 1713 to at least 1734. In order for Peter Bernard Scalé to have been the brother-in-law of the cartographer John Rocque, whose second wife was Mary Ann Bew, we have come to the conclusion that Edward Bew must have died before about 1851, after which his widow Mary Ann Bew would have married the widower John Rocque. Documentation to prove this hypothesis has not yet come to light.
George Bew or Bewe, apothecary, widower, of Saint All Hallows, London, married to Sarah Perin 15 apr 1689 with consent of her parents (marriage bond, London Metropolitan Archives, DW/MB/001/278).
[14691] Recorded at St. Katherine's by the Tower.

As Abraham Beylon, subject of at least two complaints before the Consistory of Lausanne between 1733 and 1748. In the first complaint, he was determined to have been the father of a child by Jeanne Robert, and with his brother's assistance, seems to have paid a fine of 25 écus in lieu of imprisonment.
