Since her dowry, partially described in a small register (ACV Fg 171), appears to date from after 1691 and before 1694, we place her marriage at about the same period. The actual marriage contract that specified her dowry has not been located.

Marriage contract recorded 05 jan 1573 (Claude Mayor, notary, ACV DB 26/3 fol. 35v and 26/4 fol. 55v-56) gives names of siblings of the bride.
Seigneur de Ballens, coseigneur de Bussy, coseigneur de Yens. Title to the fiefs of Ballens, Yens, and Froideville must have passed by inheritance to his sister Marie Crinsoz, and thus to her husband, Gabriel Monod. However, there must be more than inheritance at work in the distribution of these fiefs, because Gabriel ended up with the entire fief of Froideville, but only the conseigneurie of Ballens and Yens, shared with "his brother Isaac", according to secondary sources. At the very least, there must have been a "partage" after the death of Pierre François, or else sales related to his estate.
An answer is implicit in the contents of a small undated register (ACV Fg 171) containing 6 "reconnaissances" for property that had previously been under the jurisdiction of Noble Pierre François Crinsoz and his "indivis", the other unnamed parties with whom he shared ownership of the Seigneurie de Bussy. The title explains that the property had been removed from the Seigneurie de Bussy and attached to the Conseigneurie de Ballens as a result of the dowry of the wife of Gabriel Monod: "Copie de Recognoissances de la Seigneurie de Bussy riere Apples demembrées dedite Seigneurie et remises à Vertueux et Prudent Gabriel Monod avec le Conseigneurie de Balens pour la dotte de la Vertueuse Dame sa femme au contenu d'un Traité fait auquel soit recours."
The reconnaissances in Fg 171 date from 1690-1691, at a time when the properties were still under the jurisdiction of the Crinsoz family. Since Marie Crinsoz was dead by early 1694, when Gabriel Monod remarried to Jeanne Elizabeth de Saussure, this places the dowry of Marie Crinsoz somewhere in the period 1691-1693. Now that the approximate date is known, it may be possible to uncover additional evidence regarding the division of the disposition of the property held by the heirs of Anthoine Crinsoz.

Identified in document of Claude Mayor notary 06 jun 1601 (ACV DB 26/9), where Estienne Mayor pays a marriage settlement of 40 florins to Francois Coppoz of Martheray. The late mother of Coppoz was the wife of the late Jaques Mayor, father of Estienne. The order of the marriages is revealed in a document of 18 may 1581, where Claudaz Chrestin daughter of the late André and widow of Bernard Coppos contracts to marry Jaques Mayor de Mollens.
A further complication is found in the contract of her last marriage, to Jaques Mayor, 18 may 1581 (Claude Mayor, notary, ACV DB 26/3 fol. 66v): her first marriage was to Alexandre Burquin of Bursinel, the next to Bernard Coppoz of Martherey. The 1581 marriage contract also names her brothers Pierre and Claude Christin, and her uncles Egrège Christoffle and honnorable Jaques Rolaz.

He is called "Jehan Christin du Bugnion" in the terrier ACV Fh 34 (fol. 51). In this case, "du Bugnion" should be regarded not as an alias, but as the name of the place where he lived. The du Bugnion family was extremely numerous at Gimel, but there was also a "lieudict" or local place name called Bugnion or Bougneux.
There are several references in the terriers (e.g., Fh 199) to a person called "Anthonius de Leysiez alias Cristini de Sancto Hengendo de Roctires" (=St. Oyens) who was apparently a resident and certainly a landowner at Gimel circa 1520-30.
While there are numerous references to the family called Cristin alias de Leysel (various spellings), the parentage of the present Jean Cristin has not been clearly established.
