The notarial record described in notes for Jean Berthezens gives the maiden name of his wife as Soulliere. Presumably, she is the Jeanne Soulier who appears at several baptisms in the Mourgue family, including that of the first child of Estienne Mourgue and Magdelaine Berthezens, 21 apr 1650. No other record of this couple has been discovered in the registers at St. Hippolyte, so it may be that they lived in a neighboring community or attended a Catholic church. Soulier is a very common name there.
