She is mentioned in the terrier ACV Fh 211 in a reconnaissance by various descendants of Michael Roberti (the Michael who married Johanneta Gaczel) 1567-1569 (fols. 207 ff.), in a passage that cites an additional reconnaissance made by Petrus, brother of the Michael, resulting from a purchase by this Petrus from "Estevene fillie de feu Pierre Robert femme de Michiel Mutignier d'Aulbonne". The reconnaissance in question, or one closely related to it, is dated 31 jan 1478 (Fh 130, fol.57v), for property subject to the Confratria Sancti Spiritus de Albona by Stephaneta relicta Michfouraelis Mutigny (Mutignyez) saltoris Albone filia quondam Petri Roberti fabri Albone.

Plausibly the same Stephaneta, daughter of Petrus Roberti of Aubonne, but this time cited as the widow of Michael Bachouz, is cited as the previous tenant of a property at Bière that had since been leased to Petrus Croysier (Fi 55, a quernet derived from lost sources, fol. 345v, dating nominally from 1543 but apparently compiled during roughly the previous decade). Assuming that this text refers to the same Stephaneta, she must have remarried after 1478, or else Bachouz was an alias of Mutigny. This Stephaneta was still alive in 1493 (Fi 85, fol. 518 (d)), as the widow of Michael Bachoux, and the properties she held at that time are noted as having come to her from Petrus Roberti (from the context, her father) and from his brother Mermetus Roberti.

However, there is some possibility that the dates are misleading, as both Fi 55 and Fi 85 are "quernets", summaries of rents that were based on earlier terriers where the individual reconnaissances were recorded. For Fi 55, the source for the information about Stephaneta and her properties appears to be a terrier compiled 1504-1514 by Johannes Boleti, of which four fragments (ACV Fg 259, 260, 261, and 262) remain. For Fi 85, the source was evidently a terrier compiled by Aymonodus Roberti in 1470, known to have been lost in the Bourla-Papey incident in 1802.

In Fg 262, one of the fragments of the terrier of Johannes Boleti, we find on fol. 297, that certain properties now held in 1509 by Leudegarius and Stephanus, sons of the late Petrus Croeysiez, had been recognized in the previous terrier (the one from 1470, apparently) for the seigneuries of Mont-le-Vieux and Rolle by Stephaneta filia quondam Petri Roberti de Albona relicta Michaelis Bachoux. The properties in question had next been leased to the said Petrus Croeysiez by the Seigneur of Mont-le-Vieux and Rolle on 30 jul 1479, recorded by Aymonodus Roberti. Implicit in this statement is that Stephaneta was at that time no longer the tenant, since they had reverted to the seigneur. From other documents of the period, a typical scenario would be that Stephaneta had died and left no descendants who would inherit the existing lease of the properties, or that she had abandoned or returned the property to the seigneur. It seems most likely that she had inherited the properties before 1470, and that she herself (and perhaps her heirs) had died before 1479. However, we are still struggling to reconcile this very specific account with the information in the other terriers.

In Fh 211, it is stated that a Pierre Robert, who was the brother of Michiel Robert dict Gadel (or Gaczel) had purchased certain properties from "Estevene fillie de feu Pierre Robert femme de Michiel Mutignier d'Aulbonne". The text needs to be studied further, along with several other, related reconnaissances in Fh 211, to be sure that the information it contains, recorded in the 16th Century, is consistent with documents from the 15th Century. One of those documents is the reconnaissance from Fh 130, which also needs further study. Perhaps even more central to the problem, however, is the text in Fi 85 (especially fol. 518), where Stephaneta is cited as the current tenant and censier for several proprties. Even though the quernet Fi 85 is dated in 1493, the analysis of its successor Fi 55, and the discovery of some of the sources for Fi 55, suggest that much of the material in Fi 85 was copied from the lost terrier of Aymonodus Roberti, so that the information in Fi 85 actually reflects the situation about 20 years earlier! In other words, if the information in Fi 85 comes from about a generation earlier than its date would suggest, we would have to place Stephaneta and her relatives about a generation earlier as well, consistent with the reconnaissances cited above.
