A much later Clement Butty was a notary at Vevey who recorded many documents relating to the Dutoit family in the period 1590-1606. The notary was probably the grandson of the first Clement.

Baptismal record is Louise Susanne Buvelot, but baptism of child of Pierre Meyer and Jeanne Susanne Buvelot at Lausanne in 1693 is accompanied by mother's brothers Jean and Gabriel, who name their father as Abraham Buvelot and attest to the child's parentage. Why it was necessary to do this is not known, unless perhaps she had the child in Lausanne when her husband was elsewhere and needed some sort of identification. We conclude that the baptismal record is likely in error, and that the intended name was Jeanne Susanne.
After the death of Pierre Meyer, probably at Aigle, she remarried to Adam Robert of Vevey, habitant at Aigle.

[9600] Aside from information in The Reed Genealogy, nothing is known about Barbara Byers. There were many Byer, Boyer families in Pennsylvania and to date it has been impossible to find a tie to any of them.
July 2005: On rootsweb's world connect, several people have submitted info on descendants of Jacob Reed. Parents of Barbara were listed as Benjamin Byers and Ann Miller, b. Bedford Co., PA. Author cites Reed's genealogy, but this book does not include information about the parents of Barbara.
July 2006: Others are showing Barbara's parents as above. I have rechecked the Reed Genealogy and there is no mention of her parents. Have exchanged e-mails with George Spies, who does not have documented information. He referred me to another researcher, Doug Garber, who is in the same boat. Both of these men have huge databases but don't seem to have done any real research.
The dates being used by both of these men are not likely: the parents were married 5 years after Barbara's birth and their ages would have been 12 and 15 at the time! At least I convinced one researcher that it was an unlikely scenario and he has removed Benjamin & Ann as possible parents.
Upper Hanover Twp. was in Philadelphia Co, PA until Sep. 1784.

[12429] Sarah was probably the daughter of Nicholas Cady and Grace Birede of Leithringham, Suffolk, ENG. Need to check actual name of town as I have seen several versions of same. And, this info, found on the internet needs to be proved.
Nicholas Cady b. ca 1588 at Lethingham, Suffolk, ENG., married there on 6 Dec. 1613 to Grace Birede, b. ca 1592 at Lethingham.
Sarah's brother, Nicholas, Jr. was b. 1627 at Bury St. Mary's, Suffolk, ENG. He died 14 May 1712 at Groton, New London Co., CT. He married 1) Judith Knapp; 2) Priscilla Akers.
Probably Sarah was b. in England and there is nothing to suggest that the parents came to America. One report says that John Clary and Nicholas Cady, both carpenters, may have come to America as apprentices under William Knapp, a master carpenter from Suffolk.
Nicholas married Judith, daughter of William Knapp and John Clary married the sister of Nicholas. They probably arrived in America, ca 1630.
Cutter's New England Families, Vol. 2, contains considerable information about the Cady families. See pp 759-761. (Call # R929.174/C981 at Seattle Public Library).
[15241] On the internet there are several references to Sarah Cady's marriage to a Thomas Woodcock and she may have had a daughter by him before her marriage to John Clary in 1643/4. See Clary & Allied Family notebook
John Clary married Sarah Cady, (whose surname has been reported by various researchers as Caddett, Coffell, Cassell & Ceddell). Despite the variation of names this was probably one single woman by the name of Cady.
