By 1412, he was the curate at Treyvaux, cited in that capacity as late as 1419, and in 1414, also curate at the church of Arconcie. Several transactions recorded by Petrus de Trevaul (ACV Dp 108/2, fols. 45, 45v, 46, 47, all in 1416) identify his mother as Johanneta, daughter of the late Octhetus Grilliet.

Daughter of Claude Ansermet. The surname is uncertain, due to the messy writing of the notary Jean Barral (18 mar 1592 marriage contract), and the given name of the bride is equally questionable, but apparently Jehanne.

Document of Isaac Guibaud le jeune, notary, 30 jun 1733, shows Marguerite Arnaud widow of Pierre Richard, with Charles and Jean Paul Bernard, her brother-in-law and nephew, give power of attorney to her sister Marie Magdelaine Arnaud, wife of Paul Apia, minister at Villard in the Valley of (blank), to obtain payment of a debt from Barthelemy Apia. This may be the family Appia, of which several were pastors at St. Jean Vallais du Piemont, Prarustin aux dites Vallées, etc. (Paul possibly went to Frankfort?)
An brief account of this family of ministers is found in Alexis Muston, translated by John Montgomery, The Isreal of the Alps: A complete history of the Waldenses of the Piedmont (London: Blackie and Son, 1866), vol. 2, pp. 295-296: "As, between 1708 and 1780, there were in the valleys eight pastors who bore the name of Appia, I think it may be useful to give their genealogy here. Two brothers of this name, Paul and Cyprian, who had both studied in England, were ordained at La Tour, on 13th February, 1708. Paul Appia was pastor at Prarusting, from 1708 to 1724; then at Le Villar, from 1728 to 1738; and finally, at Bobi, from 1739 to 1756. His son, Paul Joseph, was pastor at Maneille, from 1732 to 1734; then at Rora, from 1735 to 1764. He had one son, named Paul, who was pastor at Prarusting, from 1750 to 1760, and at Bobi from 1760 to 1768. Cyprian Appia was pastor at St. John, from 1708 to 1738. His son, Daniel Isaac, was pastor at Angrogna from 1736 to 1739, and at Le Villar from 1739 to 1761. The son of Daniel Isaac bore the name of Daniel only, and was pastor at St. John from 1745 to 1762. He had two sons, Cyprian Bartholomew, who was pastor at Maneille from 1760 to 1762, and at Prarusting from 1762 to 1787; and Daniel Isaac, who was pastor at St. John from 1762 to 1780." There may be some errors in this list!
A brief mention of Paul and Cyprian in England is found in the diaries of Thomas Hearne (1678-1735 ) (Philip Bliss, Reliquiae Hearneanae: The remains of Thomas Hearne of Edmund Hall., 2nd Edition, London: John Russell Smith, 1869, vol. 1, pp. 22-23): "Aug. 21 [1805]. Yesterday Dr. Mill sent me a Testimonium to be signed for Cyprian and Paul Appia, Vaudois, that they may be admitted into Holy Orders. But whereas they never lodged, nor conversed with any in Edm. Hall (at least not to my knowledge) I returned it again without giving my hand. The Bp. of Worcester has maintained them for some time, and now designs to put them into orders, being moved to it by Dr. Mill, who does not consider that 'tis not canonical, they having not been ever of any university before they came hither; and though they did sometimes receive a lecture from one in Edm. Hall, yet they were never either of that house or of any other in this university [Oxford] as members, and therefore ought not to claim the privilege of university men. Besides 'tis not three years since they had first lecture from the said person, being admitted into the Publick Library Apr. 11, 1704, a little before which they agreed about a lecture."
Further citations found on the internet say that the brothers Paul and Cyprian had completed their studies at Lausanne in 1699 before traveling to England. Cyprian was still in England in 1706, serving as minister at the French church of Leicester Fields.
A specific reference to the present Paul and his wife is found in Jean Jalla and Auguste Jahier, Histoire de l'église de La Tour (Torre Pellice: Imprimérie Alpine, 1902), p. 167, in a chronological list of the pastors there: "1777-1782 Paul Appia.

The death record at St. Martin in the Fields indicates Anne Leora, woman. We have no evidence so far of any other members of this family in England.
