Amey Crousaz, bourgeois d'Hermenches, is the first known ancestor of the de Crousaz family, Seigneurs de Corsier, etc. He is cited living at Grossan, near Corcelles-le-Jorat, in 1523.
More recently, the city of Lutry has published an account of the family in their third volume devoted to local history, Lutry sous le régime bernois (1536-1798) (Louis-Daniel Perret, editor, Commune de Lutry, 2000, pp. 153-184 ). This account features some of the family documents, portraits, and artefacts, as well as a discussion of genealogical errors that found their way into some of the official records of Lausanne, perhaps explaining some of the apparent contradictions in earlier accounts of the family. This genealogy, however, does not always list the sources is such a way that they can be directly identified. We are still a long way from a complete reconciliation of the two versions of the genealogy.

There is an entry in his name ("Egrege Dominicque Crausaz") in the terrier ACV Fn 346, dating from about 1591-1601, not yet examined. His son Discret Pierre Crausaz made a reconnaissance in the terrier Fn 349 on 20 apr 1592, by which time Dominique had died.
A secondary source gives his wife's name as Marie Trutaz.

From him descend two branches of the de Crousaz family: one remained at Lutry, where they held many important positions; the other became established at Lausanne and acquired the domaine of Prélaz. From the first branch, a descendant Pierre Louis Etienne de Crousaz left a memoire giving many details about his family (F.-Raoul Campiche, "Un mémoire de Noble Pierre-Louis-Etienne Crousaz", in Revue historique vaudoise 22:45-56, 1914).
The marriage date is taken from the International Genealogical Index, source unknown. The dates of his children, apparently from family records, are given in Lutry sous le régime bernois (1536-1798) (Louis-Daniel Perret, editor, Commune de Lutry, 2000, pp. 153-184 ).

When the seigneurie of Corsier-sur-Lutry was sold for taxes 16 aug 1620, Pierre became Seigneur de Corsier. He was also Châtelain de Lutry. Another secondary source gives his wife as "Annette Arnaud dit Nicod", a clear reference to the Nicod family of Moudon. Was he married twice?

Student at Lausanne in 1680, thus probably born around 1665. He served as Capitaine in a Swiss regiment assigned to William of Orange-Nassau, King of England. He achieved the rank of Major. His unit also served in Scotland. The account in Lutry sous le régime bernois (1536-1798) (Louis-Daniel Perret, editor, Commune de Lutry, 2000, pp. 153-184 ) says that he died of apoplexy at Ypres and was buried in the church there. The funeral monument bearing the arms of Crousaz of Corsier was destroyed in World War I.
