The Reymond family is extremely numerous at Vaulion, and not all of them are indigenous. This appears to be the only Abraham son of Abraham of approximately the right generation, but there are many men of the same name at Vaulion. He is called "du Planoz" at the baptism of his daughter Judith Salomé in 1738.

The baptism of his son Abraham Isaac, 1777, notes that he one of the Reymond who live at Plâne (or Planoz) in the commune of Vaulion.
The marriage record of his daughter Jeanne Julie says he was a "habitant" at Cuarnens at the time of her marriage, 1798.
His will dated 22 aug 1811 was probated in Jefferson Co., Indiana (will book A-1). The abstract on the internet seems garbled, we have not yet examined the original. There is mention of the heirs of John Simeon Raymond. We found only one Jean Siméon Reymond in the church records of Vaulion, born 11 jan 1776 to Abraham Daniel Reymond and his wife Françoise Jaqueline Guignard. This Jean Siméon was still alive as late as 1804, when he appeared at a baptism, but we found no marriage and no baptisms of his children. There may be some record of the settlement of the estate of Abraham Michel in the Swiss records, which might clarify this provision. It is also possible that the reading "John Simeon" is in error.
