She appears about 1582 as the widow of the late Claude Mayor of Ballens (Claude Mayor, notary, ACV DB 26/5 fol. 56v and 57). A later citation, 23 jan 1584 is more helpful (fol. 77v): in the context of a sale involving the Saudan and Barbey families, one of the adjoining properties in the village of Ballens is described as belonging to the heirs of the late Claude son of Michel Mayor "que tient Hennarde vefve d'icelluy". That might mean that Hennarde was the wife of the father of François Mayor, "pupil" by about 1568, but it seems strange that she would not be named as Claude's widow until so many years later. Whoever she is, she was still alive 05 aug 1587 (DB 26/6 fol. 67, property at Ballens, en Lelerit). She might also be the Lyonnarde widow of the late Claude Mayor on 13 dec 1590 (DB 26/7, fol. 57, property en la Vy de Bière). She is again an owner at Ballens, en Lelerit, 08 jan 1591 (fol. 66v), and again (en Sollion) 07 nov 1596 (DB 26/8 fol. 42v).
Another citation demonstrating that Hennarde and Claude Mayor of Ballens were the parents of François Mayor is found in the descriptions of adjoining properties, 13 oct 1583 (ACV DB 26/5 fol. 72v), in a document concerning a sale by Lyonnard Bachellard and his wife Genon Monod to Lyonnard Barbey of Ballens, "eys Allegerz", bounded by the heirs of François Mayor dit Graton. Apart from this instance, the alias Graton has been encountered only in connection with the Claude Mayor whose widow was Hennarde.
Examination of the terriers Fh 175 (1622), Fh 31 (about 1580), and Fg 159 (1678) should provide additional evidence about Hennarde, if the properties mentioned above in the records of the notary Claude Mayor can be identified.
