Notes for the parish of Morges

• Morges: 1577-1602: Most of the entries in this period are fairly well preserved, but the handwriting is difficult in places, and the entries are often incomplete. There is a gap beween 1602 and 1613; a notation in the registers indicates the book containing those records was lost or stolen. The parish includes surrounding villages, but the place of residence is not consistently noted. The registers are on LDS microfilm #0128720. A great deal of additional information on the inhabitants of Morges, at least those who owned property in the city, has been published by Paul Bissegger. In particular, histories of individual lots in the city of Morges as early as 1350 are among the resources available through this link.
